The 1928 Akron Zippers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Akron in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 1928 college football season. In its second season under head coach Red Blair, the team compiled a 5–4 record (3–4 against conference opponents) and outscored all opponents by a total of 158 to 94. John Mahoney was the team captain.[1]
