The 1961 Kansas State Wildcats football team was an American football team that represented Kansas State University as a member of the Big Eight Conference (Big 8) during the 1961 college football season. In their second year under head coach Doug Weaver, the Wildcats compiled a 2–8 record (0–7 in conference games), finished in eighth place in the Big 8, and were outscored by a total of 232 to 58.[1]

The team's statistical leaders included quarterback Larry Corrigan (234 passing yards), Joel Searles (252 rushing yards), and Spencer Puls (123 receiving yards).[2]

The team played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.
