The 14th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on April 21, 2001, at Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. It aired live on Nickelodeon and was hosted by Rosie O'Donnell for the sixth consecutive year.

The theme of the show was outer space as the Barker Hangar was named "Slime Station One" and this was the first time that a Kids Choice Award ceremony was themed to outer space since the 1990 show.

This was also the first Kids Choice Awards that had a Burping Contest which would be in the following Kids Choice Awards (with the exception of the 2005 awards) until 2008.

Corey Burton was the announcer that year.
