The 2014 season was FC Kansas City's second season of existence. The team competed in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the top division of women's soccer in the United States. FC Kansas City won its first NWSL championship in 2014, defeating Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL Playoffs final.[1]
