On 12 October 2022, two people were killed (plus the perpetrator), and a third person was wounded in a shooting outside of the front enterance of Tepláreň, a gay bar in Bratislava, Slovakia,[6] a well-known spot frequented by the local LGBTQ community.[7][3] The shooting claimed two victims: Juraj Vankulič, a non-binary person, and Matúš Horváth, a bisexual man.[8][1] The perpetrator was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot the morning after the attack.[9]

The investigation classified the shooting as a terrorist attack and found that primary targets included high level politicians.[10][11][1]
