The 2022 Chicago Cubs season was the 151st season of the Chicago Cubs franchise, the 147th in the National League, and the Cubs' 107th season at Wrigley Field. The Cubs were managed by David Ross, in his third year as Cubs manager as members of Major League Baseball's National League Central. The Cubs began the season at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 1 and finished the season on the road against the Cincinnati Reds on October 5. With their loss on September 17, the Cubs were officially eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive season.[1] The Cubs finished the season 74–88, 19 games out of first place.
