- AQAP expelled from Wadea in September 2017, and from Al-Mafhad in March 2018
- As of March 14, 2018, AQAP only controls or contests 20% of Abyan[1]
- On March 31, 2018, government officials announced that the security situation and the front had stabilized[2]
