Adam Didur or Adamo Didur[1] (24 December 1874 – 7 January 1946) was a famous Polish operatic bass singer.[2][3][4] He sang extensively in Europe and had a major career at New York's Metropolitan Opera from 1908 to 1932.
^Best known in the Italian basso repertory, he was billed under the Italianized name 'Adamo' when performing outside his native Poland. His Polish given name was 'Adam'.
^Most reference works list him as born in 1874, but a few other sources refer to 1873, including his World War I draft registration in 1918, when he listed himself as born in 1873.
