Air traffic flow management

Air traffic flow management (ATFM) is the regulation of air traffic in order to avoid exceeding airport or air traffic control capacity in handling traffic (hence the alternative name of Air Traffic Flow and Capacity ManagementATFCM), and to ensure that available capacity is used efficiently.[1]
