Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo[note 1] (transl. There in Vaikuntapuram), also known by the initialism AVPL, is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language action drama film[4][5] written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, alongside an ensemble cast of Jayaram, Tabu, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Murali Sharma, Samuthirakani, Navdeep, Sunil, Sachin Khedekar, Govind Padmasoorya, Harsha Vardhan, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Ajay, and Rajendra Prasad.[1] It was produced by Allu Aravind and S. Radha Krishna under their banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations, respectively.[6] This movie's story is heavily inspired from Sr NTR's Intiguttu(1958) and Manchi Manishi(1964).

Production of the film began in April 2019, and wrapped up in December 2019. It was filmed across Hyderabad, with songs being shot overseas. The film's soundtrack was composed by S. After premiering in the United States on 11 January 2020, the film was released theatrically on 12 January, coinciding with Sankranti.

It opened to highly positive reviews, with praise for performances of the cast, Thaman's music, entertainment value, and Trivikram's writing and direction. It was commercially successful and grossed 262–280 crores worldwide. It became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time and the second highest grossing Indian film of 2020..[1] Thaman won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction.
