Alapaʻiwahine was a princess of the Island of Hawaii and great-grandmother of King David Kalākaua and Queen Lydia Liliʻuokalani.[1][2] She was a Naha chiefess: the product of a rare father and daughter marriage uncommon in Hawaiian history.
