Albertiniella is a genus of fungi in the family Cephalothecaceae of the Ascomycota. It was circumscribed by German taxonomist Wilhelm Kirschstein in 1936.[1] The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class is unknown (incertae sedis), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any order.[2]
The genus name of Albertiniella is in honour of Johannes Baptista von Albertini (1769–1831), who was a German botanist, mycologist and clergyman of the Moravian Church.[3]
