Alexander Baring, 1st Baron Ashburton, PC (27 October 1774 – 12 May 1848), was a British politician and financier, and a member of the Baring family. Baring was the second son of Sir Francis Baring, 1st Baronet, and his wife Harriet, daughter of William Herring.
