Alysicarpus is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It is distributed in tropical and subtropical regions[2] of Africa, Asia, and Australia.[1] Species are known generally as moneyworts.[3] Unusually for legumes, the leaves are simple (not compound).
