Amathus, Transjordan

Amathus (Ancient Greek: Ἀμαθοῦς or τὰ Ἀμαθά;[1][2] in Eusebius, Ἀμμαθοὺς.[3] Hebrew: עמתו[4] was a fortified city east of the Jordan River, in modern-day Jordan.
