Amelia Academy is an independent co-educational college preparatory school in Amelia, Virginia. The school has classes from Pre-kindergarten (age 5) through 12 grade. Its diverse student body encompasses the counties surrounding Amelia (Chesterfield, Nottoway, Prince Edward, Powhatan) as well as international students. Amelia Academy has educated students from Benin, Nigeria, Venezuela, to name but a few. It was founded in 1964 as a segregation academy.[2] The campus is located within the rural Piedmont region of central Virginia.
