Amina Bala Zakari (née Husaini Adamu)[1] (born 23 June 1960) was the former Acting Chairman[2] of the Independent National Electoral Commission[3] (INEC), the Nigerian electoral body. Her appointment took effect from the directive of the President Muhammadu Buhari following the expiration of the tenure of her predecessor, Attahiru Jega on 30 July 2015.

Zakari was the first woman[4] to be appointed to the position of the leadership of INEC.[5][6]
