Annacotty (Irish: Áth an Choite, meaning 'the ford of the small boat')[2] is a small village on the outskirts of Limerick, Ireland, 7 km (4 mi) from the centre of the city. It is situated where the old N7 main road between Limerick and Dublin crosses the Mulkear River, 1 km (0.6 mi) upstream of where it flows into the River Shannon.
