Annie R. Blount

Annie R. Blount (pen names, various, including Jennie Woodbine;[1] 1839–unknown) was a poet, short story writer, and newspaper editor of the American South.[2] She began writing at an early age, and many of her juvenile productions appeared in print under various signatures. She received a prize offered by a literary paper published in New Bern, North Carolina, for "the best story by any American writer".[3]
