Argakhtakh (Russian: Аргахтах; Yakut: Арҕахтаах, Arğaxtaax) is a rural locality (a selo), the only inhabited locality, and the administrative center of Alazeysky Rural Okrug of Srednekolymsky District in the Sakha Republic, Russia, located 140 kilometers (87 mi) from Srednekolymsk, the administrative center of the district. Its population as of the 2010 Census was 518,[2] of whom 247 were male and 271 female, down from 581 recorded during the 2002 Census.[1]
