Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Asif Mohseni (Persian: آیت‌الله العظمی محمد آصف محسنی; 26 April 1935 – 5 August 2019)[1] was an Afghan Twelver Shi'a Marja', widely considered to have been the most powerful in Afghanistan.[2][3] He was the founder of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan.[4]
