Barbara Romer, born 1970 in Bielefeld, is a German film producer,^[1] a former management consultant at McKinsey & Company and a former manager at Soho House.^[2] Romer is the founder^[1] of the New Globe Theater,^[3] an organization that proposed building a contemporary Shakespearean Globe.^[4] Norman Foster was the proposed project's architect.^[5]

Romer graduated from Princeton University in 1993^[6] and received a Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 1998.^[5]
