Basirabad (Persian: بصيراباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Jafarbay-ye Sharqi Rural District of Goldasht District, Gomishan County, Golestan province, Iran.[4] The capital of the rural district was the village of Bonavar[5] until it merged with two other villages to form the city of Siminshahr,[6] which became the administrative center for the rural district.[4]
