Battle of Sardrud — One of the most important battles in Eastern history[6], On April 21, 1408, a bloody confrontation occurred between the Qaraqoyunid army led by Qara Yusuf and the Timurid army led by Sultan Miran Shah. Qaraqoyunids emerged victorious, driving the Timurids out of Eastern Anatolia, Azerbaijan, and Western Iran. With this victory, the Timurid empire was unable to exert any influence in the West, and the Ottoman Empire, which had entered the interregnum, as well as the Mamluk Sultanate, began to regain strength.[7][8][9][10]
