Belorechensky District (Russian: Белоре́ченский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Belorechensky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the southern central part of the krai, but is bordered for the main part by the Republic of Adygea. The area of the district is 1,323 square kilometers (511 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Belorechensk (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 45,149 (2010 Census);[3] 43,542 (2002 Census);[6] 37,626 (1989 Soviet census).[7]
