Borynia (Ukrainian: Бориня) is a rural settlement in Sambir Raion, Lviv Oblast, western Ukraine. It is situated near the Stryi River, about 145 kilometres (90 mi) from the city of Lviv,[1] 106 kilometres (66 mi) from Uzhhorod, and 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Turka. It hosts the administration of Borynia settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.[2] Its local government is the Borynia Settlement Council.[3] Population: 1,375 (2022 estimate).[4]
The main occupation of the population is agriculture and forestry.
