Paralympic gold medalists in 2020 Summer Paralympics, the swimmer Gabriel Araújo and parathlete Elizabeth Gomes were the country's opening ceremony flagbearers.^[2] Meanwhile, Paralympic champions, the paracanoeist Fernando Rufino and swimmer Carolina Santiago were the country's flagbearers during the closing ceremony.^[3]
