Brooklyn is a city in Poweshiek County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,502 at the 2020 census.[2] It is located just off U.S. Route 6 and a few miles north of Interstate 80. Near the center of town, Brooklyn boasts a large display of flags from each of the fifty states, branches of the military, and a smattering of other sources. The city bills itself as "Brooklyn: Community of Flags."
