Butterfly (Chinese: 花蝴蝶) is the tenth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on March 27, 2009, by Warner and Mars.[1] Tsai worked on the album with various producers, including Adia, Paul Lee, Peter Lee, and Paula Ma.[2] Music critics gave it generally unfavorable reviews upon release, noting that while the tracks were popular, they lacked innovation.[3]

Commercially, Butterfly received more than 120,000 pre-orders in Taiwan, becoming the country's most pre-ordered album of all time.[4] It went on to sell more than one million copies in Asia.[5] In Taiwan, it sold more than 210,000 copies,[6][7] becoming the highest-selling album of 2009.[8]
