The Capiznons (Capiznon: mga Capiznon; Spanish: capiceños) are a Visayan ethnic group native to Capiz and the surrounding areas of the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.[2][unreliable source?] They speak Capiceño, a Visayan language. According to Spanish era tribute-censuses Spanish-Filipinos compose 1% of the Capiznon people's population.[3]: 113
