Carol Foley (also Meehan) is a fictional character in the Irish soap opera Fair City, portrayed by Aisling O'Neill. O'Neill originally auditioned for the role of Ava Spillane.[1]
Carol is one of the main female characters on the show. She has featured in Fair City for more than two decades.[2] Carol's storylines have included a number of affairs, alcoholism and child abuse.
Aisling O'Neill has played feisty Carol Foley on RTÉ's Fair City for the past 19 years, but her biggest acting challenge is still ahead of her.
