Chaudhary Dilip Singh Chaturvedi (11 January 1932 – 9 February 1990) was an Indian politician and an eminent lawyer from the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. He became a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly as a Bharatiya Janta Party candidate for the Bhind constituency following the 1980 elections.[1][2][3] He was a socialist leader.[4]

Fiery, stalwart socialist leaders like Acharya Narendra Dev (then vice-chancellor, University of Lucknow) and Jayaprakash Narayan were his mentors and a major influence on his political and social ideology.[5] He joined the socialist movement in student life and became actively involved in the Praja Socialist Party. He was known as a firebrand in student politics and started his political career with Chandra Shekhar and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia.[5]

Chaudhary was the father of two politician sons, Chaudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi and Chaudhary Mukesh Singh Chaturvedi.[6][7]
