Chippewa County (/ˈtʃɪpəˌwɑː/ CHIP-ə-WAH)[3] is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 12,598.[4] Its county seat is Montevideo.[5] The county was formed in 1862, and was organized in 1868.
