Ciril Zlobec (4 July 1925 – 24 August 2018[1]) was a Slovene poet, writer, translator, journalist and former politician. He is best remembered for his poems, publishing several volumes of poetry in his lifetime.[2] In 1990 he became a member of the Presidency of Slovenia at a critical time for Slovene independence.[3]
