Cornelia Scheffer (née Lamme; 23 April 1769  – 4 July 1839) was a Dutch painter and portrait miniaturist.[1] She was known as "a woman of much energy and strength of character."[2] She also "was distinguished by her talents, her wit, and many good qualities, which rendered her one of the remarkable women of her time."[3] She is often thought of as the most visually commemorated artist’s mother of all time.
