Its title is a double entendre, referring to either simply driving around or gay cruising. The album features the hits "Hot Cop" and "Y.M.C.A.", which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2003, the album was rereleased as Y.M.C.A. in continental Europe.
