Dana August Dimel (born October 9, 1962) is an American college football coach and former player. He is a senior offensive assistant for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a position he has held since 2024. He was the head football coach of the University of Wyoming from 1997 to 1999, the University of Houston from 2000 to 2002, and the University of Texas at El Paso from 2018 to 2023. He compiled a career record of 50–88. He also coached for Kansas State and Kansas State.
