The Darlong people (Darlong: Darlong hnam) are a sub-tribe of Hmar,living in the state of Tripura, Mizoram, Assam India. The Darlong call themselves ‘hriam’ or ‘manmasi nauhai’ (the first one literally meaning ‘people’. Manmasi is the ancestors of all the Hmar subtribes). They constitute less than one percent of the population of Tripura.
