Demorest (/ˈdɛmərɪst/ DEM-ə-rist) is a city in Habersham County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,022 at the 2020 census, up from 1,823 at the 2010 census,[5] and 1,465 at the 2000 census. It is the home of Piedmont University.
