Diamond Springs (formerly, Diamond Spring and Diamond)[2] is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Dorado County, California, United States. It is part of the SacramentoArden-ArcadeRoseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 11,037 at the 2010 census, up from 4,888 at the 2000 census. The town is registered as California Historical Landmark number 487.[3] It lies at an elevation of 1791 feet (546 m).[4]
