Dmitry Filippov (August 1, 1944; Yurga, Kemerovo region, RSFSR, Soviet Union – October 13, 1998 St. Petersburg, Russia ) was a Russian-Soviet statesman, political and public figure, industrialist. Since 1974, he has been the secretary of the Komsomol Central Committee, a member of the Council of Ministers USSR, chief of staff for the construction of Baikal-Amur Railway, and chief of staff to develop the West Siberian oil and gas industry. Since 1978, he has been a member of the Presidium of the AUCCTU, from 1986 to 1990, he was the secretary - supervisor of the industry of Leningrad and Leningrad region of the Leningrad Regional Committee of the Communist Party, from 1990 to 1993 the head of the State Tax Inspection in St. Petersburg, from 1993 the head of some big and reputable financial and industrial groups and public organizations in Russia.
