Domingo Antonio Acevedo (born March 6, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Leones de Yucatán of the Mexican League. Listed at 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) and 240 pounds (110 kg), he throws and bats right-handed. For a few hours on July 21, 2018, Acevedo was on the New York Yankees’ active roster, but did not appear in a game, earning him the distinction of being a “phantom ballplayer”, a distinction which he held until his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2021. He has previously played in MLB for the Oakland Athletics.
