Donald Q. Cochran is an American attorney and academic who served as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee from 2017 to 2021.[1] Before assuming his current role, Cochran was a law professor at Belmont University College of Law. He was previously a professor at Cumberland School of Law and an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.[2] On February 8, 2021, he along with 55 other Trump-era attorneys were asked to resign.[3] He submitted his resignation on February 22, effective February 28.[4]
