Draft:Bird's nest (hairstyle)

The bird's nest, also known as a broccoli cut or bussin' cut, is a hairstyle featuring hair curled or piled on top of the head as in a perm or beehive, but with the sides and back of the head cut very short or shaven.[1][2] The style's similarity to large perms of the 1980s and its popularity among youth of Generation Z led to the style being colloquially referred to as the Zoomer perm.[3]

The style trend evolved from the "fluffy" and "floppy" hairstyles popular with e-boys in the 2010s,[2] and with K-pop artists such as BTS. According to GQ Magazine, the perm originated in 2020 when then-15-year-old Dillon Latham posted to the social network TikTok, saying that if his post reached 500,000 likes he would get a perm.[4] When the post reached 2 million views, Latham went through with the bet and posted another video of a salon applying the perm, which went viral.[5]
