Hector Izquierdo Triana is the Special Commissioner [1] of the Government of Spain for the reconstruction[2] of the 2021 volcanic eruptions in La Palma [3], one of the biggest[4] natural disasters[5] in Europe since 1945[6]. He was the Spanish Secretary of State of Finance [7] and President of the Spanish Tax Agency when he was appointed Commissioner.
In 2024, he was awarded with the Knighthood of the [8] Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Civil Merit.
