Hit-the-Coin Competition is a competitive tournament of Hit-the-Coin.
Hit-the-Coin is a ball sport played by two players typically standing 8 feet apart alternately aiming overarm throws at a rubber ball at a coin, most commonly a 2 pence coin. The objective is to reach a target number of hits, which depends on the type and round of match, more quickly than your opponent. The game is synonymous with the Hit-the-Coin Competition, which has been held annually on the beach promenade at Southwold, Suffolk in England, since 2012 with the current champion William Hawkins who beat Bruce Eggleton in the final in August 2023.
