Proceso Gideon Marcelo, or Jungee Marcelo (born 1964) is a Filipino songwriter, arranger, dance director and TV host. A composer of OPM hits, he is most prominently known for writing the Gary Valenciano songs "Hataw Na," a dance hit, and "Sa Yahweh ang Sayaw," a Christian hip-hop song.[1]
He has also joined and won various songwriting competitions, beginning with the now defunct Metropop Song Festival, winning the grand prize in the 1997 edition with "Para Sa Inyo Itong Kanta Kong Ito". His song "Pansamantagal" won third place in the 2013 Philippine Popular Music Festival (Philpop), before winning the grand prize the following year with the Kyla-interpreted song "Salbabida." [2][3]
