Lost U-Boats of WWII (2024) is a History Channel television series. It explores potential Nazi submarine wreck sites near the Dominican Republic, which harbored Nazis.[1] The search is led by diver Darrell Miklos, utilizing a document from a United States Navy pilot showing potential wreck sites.
Discoveries at the sites, near Montecristi, are placed into a working theory that craft could have been scuttled after being used to shuttle Nazis and their loot, namely to South America. Discoveries of Nazi military debris at one magnetically detected site lead to the proposal that an unknown U-boat crash dove to evade a skirmish with the Allies. The exploration of the expected large metal object, possibly buried or covered by coral, was truncated by the season's onset of hurricanes.
