Revilot Records was a soul label from Detroit, Michigan owned by LeBaron "Toliver" Taylor and Don Davis, and was in operation from 1966 to 1969[1][2]. The name Revilot is Toliver spelled backwards.[3]
It released a few hits, such as "Open the Door to Your Heart" by Darrell Banks or "(I Wanna) Testify" by The Parliaments.
Some other artists who recorded for the label include Rose Battiste, Jackey Beavers, Little Sonny and J. J. Barnes.[1][2][3][4]
The label went into bankruptcy in 1969. Legal conflicts over recording rights forced The Parliaments to rebrand themselves as Funkadelic.
