Draft:Soup for my family

Soup for my family is a slogan used by modern members of the punk subculture to encourage people to carry legal, unsuspecting weapons, such as a can of soup.

It originates from a speech given by Donald Trump in which he accuses American anarchists of throwing cans of soup at police officers, as they are easier to throw than bricks. He goes on to say that when the protestors get caught with soup that they intend to throw, “they say ‘no, this is soup for my family.'” This has led to some protestors carrying cans of soup to mock Trump's words.[1]
